 Disease Patients and Their Families

For 60 years, Mended Hearts (nationally) has been offering the "gift of hope" to heart patients and their families.  The Mended Hearts’ support group helps people understand that there can be a rich, rewarding life after a heart event!!  Members "inspire, comfort and support" heart patients and their families, share experiences, and learn from healthcare professionals.  Please see our central Ohio Introduction Letter and our central Ohio Introduction Letter for Adult CHD Patients. 

Also, for the parents of CHD children, go to the website of Mended Little Hearts of Columbus and be inspired and comforted by other parents facing similar issues as you!!

As of April 30, 2013, we have 156 members in central Ohio with a variety of "heart success stories" which include: growing up with congenital heart defects, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, bypasses and stents, pacemakers and ICD implants, LVAD and heart transplant surgeries.  Our doctor's are incredible..... and advancements in cardiac care make our success stories possible!!    We inspire each other to live heart healthy lives and (always) be positive!!  Since July 2011, we have made over 2,000 heart patient visits at the Ross Heart Hospital.
